Element 5.2
Use appropriate assessments to evaluate student learning before, during, and after instruction.
Artifact: PED 434 Statistics and Assessments in P.E., analysis of assessment results.
Date: Spring 2012
Reflection: The teacher work sample required that the teacher candidate creates a curriculum that requires pre-assessments, formative assessments, and post-assessments across the psychomotor, cognitive, and affective domains. This artifact shows that I can compare results from both pre and post assessments along with developing assessments for a specific unit. By having assessments across all three learning domains, it shows that I want my students to be well-rounded in all three areas and not just skill related activities. By being able to develop assessments and understand the results, it creates accountability which helps me reach a goal of developing my students the best way I possibly can.
