Demonstrate personal competence in motor skill performance for a variety of physical activities and movement patterns
Artifact- History and Philosophy of Physical Education and Sport- Skill Proficiency Test
Date- Fall 2010
Reflection- History and Philosophy of Physical Education and Sport (EXS 197) was an introductory class to the major. It required us every Friday to go to lab and perform basic movement patterns across a variety of physical activities. Each student was put into small groups with a senior physical education major that mentored us on how to properly do the movements to get a good score. This demonstrates me meeting standard two because at the end of the semester each of us were video taped doing the twelve skills we have been practicing throughout the semester. This skill test was able to show each of us what we were competent in or what we needed to improve on. I was competent in most of the skills, but through my participation in the activity classes I believe that I have improved to be competent in all the skills.
