Artifact: PED 356 Individualized Education Program (IEP)
Date: Fall 2012
Reflection: In the lab portion of Adapted Physical Education and Sport, I was assigned to work with two students in the gymnasium and then had to write an IEP for one of the students. I decided to write mine focused on the twelve year old female student that I worked with. My goals were focused around golfing and we spent a lot of time in lab learning different terminology and golf strokes. With element 3.1, designing short and long term goals is the main point. My IEP shows that I can create and implement both short and long term goals for the psychomotor, cognitive, and affective aspects of physical education. It is also shows that as a future teacher, I understand how to make proper modifications if necessary to help the student succeed..
