About Me
Welcome to my online version of my professional portfolio! As stated on my home page, I am a senior physical education major at SUNY Cortland. My ultimate goal is to graduate with a degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Adapted Physical Education as well. I truly enjoy watching young students achieve success at all ages and abilities. My favorite part of teaching is recognizing that a students is struggling and after I give specific feedback to fix the problem, they succeed and come over to me with a smile on their face and it makes me feel like a job well done. With the Adapted Physical Education concentration, I hope to some day work with individuals with disabilities because I feel they need to be physically active as well and I love modifying activities to help and watch them succeed. I love a wide variety of sports and activities, with basketball, baseball, and golf being my favorites. I played all three of those in high school and was successful with them. I work with my home high school during the summer and winter with the varsity boys and girls teams to help them further their abilities in that sport. I believe that living an active, healthy lifestyle can not only help extended life, but make it much more enjoyable. I currently work for the Recreational Sports department on campus as an official as a way to help keep me fit and make new connections along the way. My basis for my physical education and coaching philosophies is to be well-rounded in all three domains of physical education, not only in the skill aspect of physical education, but cognitively, and affectively as well.
